Won from Blog Giveaways
by Heather Davis
Publication: November 14th 2011 by Harcourt Children's Books
Seventeen-year-old Holly Mullen has felt lost and lonely ever since her boyfriend, Rob, died in a tragic accident. The fact that she has to spend most of her free time caring for her little sister and Alzheimer’s-stricken grandfather doesn’t help. But Holly has no idea that as she goes about her days, Rob’s ghost is watching over her. He isn’t happy when he sees his best friend, Jason, reach out to help Holly with her grandfather—but as a ghost, he can do nothing to stop it. Is his best friend really falling for his girlfriend?
As Holly wonders whether to open her heart to Jason, the past comes back to haunt her. Her grandfather claims to be communicating with the ghost of Rob. Could the messages he has for Holly be real? And if so, how can the loved ones Rob left behind help his tortured soul make it to the other side?
Told from the perspectives of Holly, Jason, and Rob,Wherever You Go is is a poignant story about making peace with the past, opening your heart to love, and finding the courage to move forward into the light.
Had seen this one on some blogs. The premise was intriguing, so when I saw it at Erica's book blog as a giveaway just had to enter. Thank you Erica for the awesome signed book (I will love it so much!).

From the Liesl & Po Signed Holiday Giveaway!
by Lauren Oliver
Publication: October 4th 2011 by HarperCollins
Liesl lives in a tiny attic bedroom, locked away by her cruel stepmother. Her only friends are the shadows and the mice—until one night a ghost appears from the darkness. It is Po, who comes from the Other Side. Both Liesl and Po are lonely, but together they are less alone.
That same night, an alchemist's apprentice, Will, bungles an important delivery. He accidentally switches a box containing the most powerful magic in the world with one containing something decidedly less remarkable.
Will's mistake has tremendous consequences for Liesl and Po, and it draws the three of them together on an extraordinary journey.
From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver comes a luminous and magnificent novel that glows with rare magic, ghostly wonders, and a true friendship that lights even the darkest of places.
I was truly lucky to have won Liesl & Po. Wanted to win so much I'm pretty sure for a whole week that I was sitting next to the tweet this button for the giveaway all the time. Each time I did tweet about the giveaway was thinking yes I have more chances to win. Yeah, wanted Liesl & Po so much. Can't wait to begin. Just love the middle-grade magic premise.

Given as a Christmas Gift over the holidays
by Felix J. Palma
Publication: June 28th 2011 by Atria (first published October 15th 2008)
The Map of Time by Felix J. Palma. Set in Victorian London with characters real and imagined, The Map of Time is a page-turner that boasts a triple play of intertwined plots in which a skeptical H.G. Wells is called upon to investigate purported incidents of time travel and to save lives and literary classics, including Dracula and The Time Machine, from being wiped from existence. What happens if we change history?
Just love the idea of time travel and it is sounding like it contains lots of mystery. The idea of "what happens if we change history" is so intriguing. I've been meaning to buy this book. Had been on my Amazon.con wishlist for a whole year but always saw other books I wanted and The Map of Time always had a pricey tag to which I could always get a set of books for it what it was worth. Luckily during Christmas someone decided to gift it to me finally! So immensely glad. Will have to go toward the Science Fiction Reader Challenge.

What books did you happen to have for your In My Mailbox this week?
