A Scrapped Princess Anime Review
Scrapped Princess Episode Count: 24 episodes

If you are into Fantasy anime then this is for you. Currently watching Sword Art Online and can't help feel the animation are similar in Medieval Fantasy terms.

Anyway Scrapped Princess follows Pasifica Casull as she tries to avoid the danger a certain prophecy has implied over her being the destruction of the universe. This anime has some inventive fantasy world concepts where magical beings or anomalies aren't too unfounded. The twists and turns of shocking plot twists keep this anime series going. While it has light comedic moments mostly it carries a serious undertone.

The animation is somewhat good. It does have the full Fantasy feel, yes, but lacks this brilliance although it could be just this blogger! If you like anime of S-CRY-ED's animation quality then do not fear. The characters are pretty multi-faceted too and when watched this viewed the English Dubbed of it (Crispin Freeman from Blood + lends his voice to Shannon Casull) and thought that it added to the greatness of the series. Shannon and Pacifica in particular had a close brother-sister relationship that was interesting, and then there is a knight that is sort of a clutz who follows after Pasifica. The animation and characters covered comes out being pretty excellent even if the animation falls or lacks in a few places.

Even so, Scrapped Princess should be held in anime series as a true classic much like S-CRY-ED or Sailor Moon. If you haven't seen then there is no better time than now.

Genre: Fantasy

Recommended Level: Extremely High

Anime Soundtrack Side-note:

Opening Theme:
"Little Wing" by JAM Project featuring Masami Okui
Ending Theme:
"Daichi no la-li-la" by Yoko Ueno and Masumi Itou

The Op is rather good and the ED too although doesn't really have a huge impact although does a good job. Just doesn't stay with you if you would like to recall the anime for its catchy OP or ED sequence.
